Val Verde Regional Medical Center (VVRMC) announces a major upgrade to its Cardiac Catheterization Lab is underway, replacing its current system with state of the art equipment and advanced technology, scheduled to be completed by early-mid February 2025.

This upgrade to the Cath Lab aims to provide clearer imaging of patient’s hearts and blood vessels, which will enable medical professionals in the Del Rio and Val Verde area to make quicker and more accurate decisions. The new and improved Cath Lab will assist various specialists, including Interventional Cardiologists, Interventional Radiologists, and Peripheral Vascular Surgeons, in addressing heart conditions, vascular issues, image-guided therapy and pain management.

“This new Cath Lab will help provide our patients with the best possible care,” Jorge Jurado FACHE, VVRMC CEO shared. “We want everyone in Del Rio and the surrounding rural areas to have access to top-quality medical services right here, close to home.”

The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new and improved Cardiac Catheterization Lab will be held at 801 N. Bedell Ave on February 14, 2025 at 10am.
