MALE ARRESTED AFTER ASSAULTING AN OFFICER
On October 8th, 2024, officers from the Del Rio Police Department responded to Jack In the Box Restaurant located at 100 Braddie Drive for an unwanted male subject on scene.
Upon arrival, police met with Management who wished to have the male subject escorted out of the business due to inappropriate and disruptive behavior. The male subject was seated in the dining area holding a cup full
of unknown liquid. Police told the subject to leave the property; after some hesitation the male agreed to leave
and began to walk away.
As the subject was walking out of the business, he became upset turned back to face an officer and threw the
unknown liquid to the officer's face causing pain. An additional officer deployed his department issued taser and
successfully subdued the male.
The officer complained of burning to both eyes and the male subject suffered face injuries from falling after the
taser deployment. Both the officer and the subject were transported to Val Verde Regional Medical Center for
treatment.
The male subject identified as Timothy Wolford; 46 yrs. of age was arrested for the offense of Assault on Peace
Officer.
Wolford was transported to the police station for booking he was later released to the custody of GEO
Correctional Facility.
