DRMS Hosts CTE Career Fair for Eighth Grade Students

Early last week, Del Rio Middle School held the annual CTE Career Fair for its 8th grade students who will soon be choosing career and educational paths as they enter high school. DRMS also hosted and invited 8th grade students from Bible Way Academy and Sacred Heart Catholic School, as they will soon be entering the Del Rio High School system with the rest of the SFDRCISD 8th grade students in the coming Fall 2025 school year.

Student ambassadors and representatives from the various DRHS CTE programs had booths for the middle school students to ask questions, see demonstrations, and become more educated on the number of career and technical opportunities and paths available to them in the coming years. “Not only does this CTE course prepare students to become a peace officer, it also provides training and preparation for any career pertaining to law including lawyers, border patrol, US Marshalls, corrections officers and more,” Kaylie Morales, Law Enforcement CTE Ambassador shares about her program.

The other CTE programs also provide similar trainings, experience, and certifications:
