Cafe Sol Celebrates Grand Opening in Del Rio

Cafe Sol, the new spot for gourmet cupcakes and cozy coffee breaks in Del Rio, officially opened its doors to the public with overwhelming community support. Located at 4730 US-90, Del Rio, TX 78840, this new cafe is a dream come true for its owner, Graciela Alvizo.

Alvizo, who has been perfecting her baking skills for over 15 years, reflected on the journey leading up to the grand opening. "I have been baking for over 15 years and it was my dream all along. And today, thanks to my parents, first of all, and my family, my kids, my husband, everyone, we're finally getting it after all these ups and downs and everything, but we're here now," she shared. "I'm hoping to serve the community and have a little place where you can come and relax, have some coffee, enjoy my cupcakes, just something cozy and nice."

Starting out as a pop-up stand at local markets, Cafe Sol has evolved into a vibrant cafe offering not only delightful cupcakes but a welcoming atmosphere for the community.

Councilperson Jesus Lopez Jr. was also present during the event, offering his congratulations and kind words to Alvizo and the new establishment.

Cafe Sol is a perfect addition to the Del Rio scene, combining a rich history of family dedication with the promise of delicious treats and a comfortable space for the community to enjoy.
