BAR FIGHT RESULTS IN FELONY ARREST

On August 22nd, 2024, at approximately 12:59 a.m. the Del Rio Police Department responded to a a fight in progress call at Gorzugis Bar located at 321 South Main Street.

Upon arrival police met with several subjects and determined the disturbance was verbal only and no parties had been injured.

Arrest warrant inquiries revealed one of the subjects had an active arrest warrant.  The subject was identified as Joseph Andrew Guajardo; 25 yrs. of age who was wanted out of Val Verde County for the for the offense of Assault Family or House Member Impeding Breath or Circulation.

Guajardo was arrested and transported to the police station where he was processed, he was later released to the custody of GEO Correctional Facility.
