FOLLOW THE LEADER Allow the ride leader to lead and set the pace. This is a social ride. Do not pass the ride leader or ride ahead of the group. 3. EARS AND EYES OPEN Listen closely for instructions. Speak out and echo “stop, turn, car, caution!” Do not use headphones or talk on the phone. 4. YIELD TO CARS Leave at least one lane open for drivers. Yield to all vehicles and pedestrians. Approach intersections with caution. 5. OBEY THE LAW Follow all road rules. Do not ride with an open alcohol container. Please refrain from drinking alcohol before or during the ride. 6. SHOW RESPECT No offensive behavior while riding. Be kind, civil, and welcoming. Absolutely no harassment, sexism, racism, or hate speech.

ETIQUETTE 1. Be mindful of other riders in the group. Keep pace, maintain the train. Be predictable: hold your lane while turning corners, starting, and stopping. Provide adequate space between riders and announce yourself when passing. Pass on the left. Move to the right if riding slowly (up hills). 2. Know that every rider is different. Do not assume skill or comfort levels. Have patience: it might be someone's first group ride. If you see a new rider, introduce yourself and say, “Happy Tuesday!” 3. Be a cycling ambassador. Be respectful to everyone on the road, including drivers and pedestrians. Elevate the perception of cyclists everywhere. 4. Inform a ride leader/volunteer if you see/hear something uncool. do not be afraid to call out bad behavior or enforce etiquette. Politely tell riders, "That is not how we roll." 5. The bike time starts sharp. We will not wait for you! We are chasing the sun and need to be back before dark.
